Today the Rockies were playing peek-a-boo through the clouds and we got a little wet at times. But it was a beautiful drive through the Kootenay National Park and we saw lots of wildlife. We had 3 black bear sightings in 20 miles – 2 lone bears snacking on dandelions and a mom with her two yearling cubs grazing beside the road. We also saw numerous deer and a few elk, one a magnificent fellow with his rack still in velvet.
